New Delhi,Business Analytics has now grown as a profession and numerous companies are finding it profitable to have a section or department for business analytics so that they get some useful insight into the data generated by their routine operation. Considering the importance of training management graduates in business analytics, Jaipuria Institute of Management Jaipur has signed MoU with IBM to run Business Analytics Course at the campus. As part of this MoU, the IBM Business Analytics Lab is established at Jaipuria Jaipur campus. The lab was inaugurated by Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria Jaipur and Dr. Harshvardhan Halve, Director, Jaipuria Indore.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management Jaipur, said that IBM experts will train about 25 faculty from Jaipuria Campus of Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur and Indore who in turn will train 300 students who will have prospects of joining big multinational companies. He further mentioned that being as first management institute in Rajasthan region to establish the IBM Business Analytics Lab, Jaipuria Jaipur will provide specialization courses in Business Analytics to train the management students for business analytics related jobs. “This is likely to take our placement to next orbit”, he added.

Dr. Prashant Sharma, Coordinator, Centre for IBM Business Analytics, Jaipuria Jaipur) shared the modus operandi of the course. He said that the course on IBM Business Analytics will be delivered in four modules; first module will cover the descriptive analytics using IBM Cognos; second module will cover predictive analytics using IBM SPSS; third module will cover prescriptive analytics; and the fourth module will cover Cognitive Analytics using IBM Watson Analytics.
